Labor Day Loop

We just got back from a really nice Labor Day loop ride through Iowa.
We rode the Loess Hills scenic byway from Sioux City to Missouri Valley then rode Hwy 44 to Guthrie Center and south to Freedom Rock. I was really surprised how many people stop at Freedom Rock, it draws people from all over.
After Freedom Rock we headed over to Winterset to check out John Wayne's childhood home and then headed to Fort Dodge for the night.
We "wandered" around Iowa from there to home.
Logged 711 miles over the 3 days.

I will have to do this again next year on the "new ride" but I think I will reverse the route.

Sounds like you had a great ride. I could only get away for 2-days; but I did do my Galena to La Crosse loop. I took quite a few of the roads leading to and from the river into the bluffs on both sides. That area can't be beat for its riding variety and views. I had an absolute blast.

Anyway.... what new ride are you referring to??? ??? ???

The "new ride" will be a tough choice but I am 90% sure what I want.
If the bike sells yet this month then I will make my choice.
