Date for 2010 Regional Rally, Prairie Du Chien

SouthEastern Rally: June 17, 18, 19 & 20, 2010
SouthCentral Rally: June 24, 25 & 26, 2010
Northwest Regional Rally: Kalispell, Montana Aug. 3-5, 2010

UPDATED: I submitted my two votes... but still am somewhat flexible on a final date.

I will tell you that the dates for august 1 and august 6, 7, 8 are the weekends preceeding and following Sturgis. Just want to throw that out there cause some people may have overlap.

Maybe we should have done this poll with the intent of finding out what two dates people can't do, rather than which they want to do. The dates are spreading out somewhat as per the votes.

six of one, half dozen of the other. The poll does allow for 2 selections if you so choose. Right now, there is a clear leader. If we start with what people can't do, we still may have several choices. I would also add, choices don't necessarily mean that those are the only dates someone can go. Just the preferred ones. If you like, we can have a run off with the top 2-3 dates. If you like, we can do the poll over with a larger number of choices allowed.

I hear you. No change from me on how it's done. Was just making a comment given the dispersion of votes.

This was as democratic as I think it can be done. Had we tried for unanimous consensus, one, we might be here until August trying to figure it out, and honestly, consensus isn't democratic. To have consensus means there is no opposition. Mr. Marx said that peace is the absence of opposition, not violence. Interesting observation. Anyway, everyone has their say and a vote. I just hope everyone does!

If I am not mistaken, the 2010 Rally will be on July 9,10,11 in Prairie Du Chien.

Working on it. I will come up with a couple options that "fit the bill". I will come up with some choices providing various pricing since I don't know everyone's budget and some may appreciate a more affordable option.

Instead of putting something up right away... I plan on making my Prairie du Chien trip one more time this season and would like to stop by a couple of the places to look at them first-hand -- just to make sure.

So... give me a month or so to have something solid posted for choices once I see the places.

Just to start "greasing the wheels" for next year's regional rally... here are a couple links to info some may find enticing enough to have them join-in on next year's rally.

I believe the location we picked for the regional rally will not disappoint those attending.

There are endless twisted-roads to ride, great views from tall bluffs above the Mississippi; and even some very interesting and quaint river-towns seemingly lost in time that provide unique shops of various themes and content.

I can tell you that none of the pictures below or contained in the link provided do justice to the area's riding quality; or views. It is much more dramatic when there in person.
