I get to ride to Custer

Yeah, My darling wife told me last night that she decided she would rather drive herself out to Custer and let me ride than have us pull the Nomad on a trailer.

Hooray! It was getting pretty embarassing being one of the closest members and trailering there.

I guess I'll have to ditch the "trailer queen" jokes now.

Sorry OP, not true about being off the hook! What your wife is really saying is why don't you take the bike so she can shop. The last thing she wants is a trailer getting in the way. Your pocket book will be a little lighter by the time it is done. However, it's worth it, she won't be dragging you to all the stores.

Don't care. Rain don't bother me a bit. I'm used to getting caught living around here. Once on a trip back from Minneapolis it started to sprinkle about 1.5 hours from home. When I was 1 hour from home it was full on rain. By the time I was .5 hour from home it was rain\snow mix and by the time I got all the way home it was all snow. Fortunately no other traffic and had put new tires on right before I left.

I have earned my wings for rain.
I'm just glad I get to ride. Now to wire up the outlet and ipod mounts.

Congratulations, Op. Looking forward to seeing you and your wife there. I wired up an outlet last week, it was really easy. I had to go online to find the Bell outlet described in www.ridethatbike.com but it looks like it belongs there and I didn't have to "kluge" up a bracket.

Jerry - do you work in IT by any chance? The term "kluge" is an old programmers term for jury-rigged program code. Just curious.

Jerry, thanks for the link. I have to put an outlet on Lucille to power CB before heading for the rally, so that site was helpful.

That is exactly what popped into my head too.

Yes, I'm in IT. I work in Hospital Systems doing "interfacing" between ancillary systems and the main Medical Record systems. We just did an upgrade to Centricity DMS, which is the company the OP works for. My part was small but still had to be there. I've been in IT since '72 and the only part I hate is the on-call weeks.
