That was exactly my reasoning. The road less traveled and opportunites passed are opportunities lost and all that.


Overnighting in Billings works for me. Will check hotels and make reservations. Have to call a friend of mine at the Conoco Phillips refinery in Billings; has been a while since I've seen him.

NW riders going to Custer?

You guys, and gals, will love Beartooth. I've been to Red Lodge for the past three summers and have ridden the pass several times. Love the ride.

That being said, I keep loking just slightly to the east and thinking, I really need to add Iowa, Minnisota, and Nort D'ahkota to my list of states ridden. Who knows, maybe even Manatoba and Alberta too. Heck, it's only 1500 miles out of the way.
