Raving about the Snow Crab like that leads me to believe you have never had the pleasure of pulling your own pots chock full of fat, sweet, Dungeness Crab from the cold waters of northern Puget Sound...!! If you had.....no doubt you would be raving in bold italics.... ;)!

That was exactly my reasoning. The road less traveled and opportunites passed are opportunities lost and all that.


Overnighting in Billings works for me. Will check hotels and make reservations. Have to call a friend of mine at the Conoco Phillips refinery in Billings; has been a while since I've seen him.

You guys, and gals, will love Beartooth. I've been to Red Lodge for the past three summers and have ridden the pass several times. Love the ride.

That being said, I keep loking just slightly to the east and thinking, I really need to add Iowa, Minnisota, and Nort D'ahkota to my list of states ridden. Who knows, maybe even Manatoba and Alberta too. Heck, it's only 1500 miles out of the way.
