Like Ballast said....many folks have a ways to travel to get there an back, so having the rally mid-week allows for more travel time on either side of the rally.

In my case, although its a two day ride, I will use the opportunity to take a more leisurely route to get there. Same deal going home. Although the rally is three days, by taking the whole week I can make an eight day trip out of the deal. That makes for a great week....seeing lots of new country and chewing up lots of miles!

No cheese to pass, but I did manage to acquire a bottle of my favorite Tequila (Tequila Maestro Anejo) to bring to the rally. I brought a bottle to the National last year to share and it was roundly applauded and appreciated! You would never guess it to be tequila upon a blind taste. This stuff is smooth as silk and should only be sipped among the best of friends. Everyone here qualifies...
