Caddo Valley Rally Weather

Ok here we go again, the weather forecast has blown out again. What I am going to do is head there tomorrow, and go from there, you all take your best guess, if you are coming with the crappy forecast please let me know. If you are not coming please let me know, if I hear from no one by Thursday I am headed back home and we will have to have it the end of April or in May. So please let me know if you all want to postpone it the earlier the better.

I looked at the weather channel and it had the same forecast as it did last night

Weather.com is still showing 30% chance of rain for Friday, 40% for Saturday and 30% for Sunday. It seems to have stayed on that for the past few days which tells me that's probably the way its going to be. I was hoping for things to go to 20% or less.

Wunderground.com, which tends to be more accurate is showing 50% chance for rain on Friday with fog, 50% on Saturday with morning fog and 60% for Sunday.

If I could leave today like Gene, I'd do it and take in some sun along the way. Then I'd ride back home on Monday or Tuesday when the weather is nicer. But, alas, I can only travel to Caddo on Friday. And I have to travel back on Sunday. Not sure if it's going to be worth it. I'm on the fence.

I know the feeling. I am going to go over tomorrow and at least have dinner with Gene and wait and see if the group wants to reschedule to a different date, spend the night and see what the weather does, then if the forecast looks correct head back home Thursday if no one else is coming.

Wife and I planned to bring the Nomad on the trailer. We have the dog boarded and can't change it. Mrs & I don't ride in rain either. (of course you knew all that already)

It is no big deal to us Vic, we are easy. We will hold off and wait to see what ya decide.

This just suck, when you run a small business it's hard to get away. The crap you have to do just to leave for a couple of day and the the weather just goes south. IT'S NOT FAIR. Well Vic do what you need to do. When you reschedule I may or may not be able to make it. I'm a big boy the tears will stop in a little while.

Same here. I don't mind postponement. I prefer that to 3 days of rain. Jude is riding the 1500 to Caddo Valley. Would be okay but prefer good weather...safety first!

Anybody for a change in venue. Somewhere dry and warm. I know it's to late for that but I'm desperate. Oh well I guess if this gets canceled I'll just go back to work Can anybody say Texas Hill Country

Guys, as much as I want to make this ride ( or any ride for that matter), I am in favor of postponing to later date. Change of venue even works if consensus can be reached. Maybe not for this date but a future date. Either way, I am flexible. Framer, I've been looking at the Hill Country the past few days and it doesn't really look that much better than AK. Anyway, don't believe we'll make this weekend, too much water and too far to go for it for me. But, let's set another day and see what happens.

Actually the weather report is excellent for the Texas hill country. Check out Kerrville TX. If we reschedule Caddo Valley I will meet you there. There is no forecast for rain and only a 20% chance of any precipitation. The temp is in the 70's. Saturday is sunny. Cloudy on Thursday and Friday. Lets go to Kerrville Baby!

If they cancel I'm in. My only problem is its 9 hours on the bike. I have never done that before but I own trailers. I would like to meet every body but I don't know if I can reschedule. I start training for a little bicycle ride called Hotter N Hell. It's a hunderd mile ride in Witchita Falls Texas. I have to ride almost every weekend.
