I don't have any knowledge of the motels in Caddo Valley.
It's on I-30 so there are several motels.
That sounds like a good spot to me.

Mt. Home sounds good as well, but as Jim said I suspect rooms may be hard to get.

I know Gene goes to the hub several times a year, maybe he'll chime in and let us know what he thinks.

If the rain holds off this weekend Crystal and I can ride down to Caddo Valley and have a look around.
Of course we'll have to stop in Mt. Ida for ice cream.

Mountain View looks tempting.. Rates look good if you can get a room at all.

I may have to talk to Wifey.

Aw hell, she'll go. All I gotta do is ask if she wants to ride.

After posting about Mountain View, I got the map out and saw that it is a little too far for the Southern Texas guys.... and they're the ones that started all this.

How about we go back and try Caddo Valley, AR and ride Hwy 7 and any other good roads around the Hot Springs area??

I think that will give everyone more bang for the buck.

Scott, you're a brave man...... making reservations before we decide on a base.

Is there any good riding in east Texas? I've been through east Texas, but, never did any riding around in that area.

Nothing really to speak of Wanderer. There are a few good roads, but no switchbacks of any kind.

OK.... Yin...Yout time!
Who's in and who's out?

Who can meet up in Caddo Valley, AR on Saturday, Sept. 1st... Ride Sunday Sept. 2 and ride back home on Monday, Sept 3rd (Labor Day)?

If it would make things better, we could shift everything up one day....
Arrive Friday (Aug 31st) evening... Ride Saturday (Sept 1)and travel home on Sunday (Sept 2). That way most everyone would get Labor day off.

What say ye.

One of the rules in the beer business is nobody gets off on Friday before a three day weekend.
So leaving on Friday is out of the question for us.
But we could catch up to y'all somewhere on Saturday if that's what is decided.

I'm in either way. Haven't mentioned it to Crystal, I'm sure she would want to go.

Teri & John
Oldbikers???

Who else is in?

Haven't seen them speak up on this forum but have been talking to Terri and John on the Facebook page. I think they will join us.
