Ride with Budman

Yesterday I took off a little early and pointed my bike east towards Arkansas. It’s about 230 miles from my house to Dave’s but the colors are changing and he has a new bike that needs to be ridden. I arrived at Dave’s about 6:30, as I suspected he was in the garage tinkering with the bike. We chatted for a while and then went out to eat with Crystal,

The next morning we planned a new ride so I could get home before thunder storms arrived. We decided to run the pig trail to highway 16 and then to Fayetteville and lunch, then I49 to I40 and home. This was 3rd time I’ve been on the pig trail this year and all 3 times it’s been wet.

Even with wet road the riding was fantastic, the foliage is starting to change colors but it won’t hit peak for another week or so. Dave said he’s liking the new ride and is still figuring out where everything is and I beat the weather home. What else could you ask for.

Glad you guys got some miles in. From the pics that Budman sent yesterday, I suspected that was Turners Bend you guys stopped at.

Maybe someday we can ride the Pig Trail when it's dry. Glad you got back home safe.

I remember getting passed by a black caravan. You must have been going over 80.

Good looking bike Dave! Wish I had time to ride. Seems like all I do is work.
Of course if we had Framers money we could take off and ride whenever. Although he does like to ride in the rain, every time he goes, it rains.

Actually, I do know of one time it didn't rain while riding with Framer. We must have just lucked out that day.

Thanks Jesse. I really like the bike. We should have called you but we didn't really know
where we were going until the last minute. Poor planning on my part.

Framer is a rain magnet. Considering framers don't work in the rain I don't see how they ever get anything done.
All week the forecast for Saturday was sunny and 80.
Framer shows up and the clouds roll in.
Places having a drought should pay him just to ride through.
