A nice ride

Disappeared for a nice 350 mile ride Sunday (wife thought I was working out back on the backhoe) I took off north on hwy 2 towards Wilburton, had just got into the twisties, when the road abruptly ended. I then detoured west toward Mcalester, enjoying the cool air and bright sun, got on hwy 270 and turned east back thru Wilburton, Red Oak and Poteau. Picked up hwy 59 to Ft Smith AR, once there turned south on hwy 71 to Mena AR, stopped and ate some great mexican. After lunch I continued south to Texarkana picked up hwy 82 to Paris TX, then 271 north to home. Beautiful weather and scenery, only saw about 10 bikes all day! but one was a champagne colored Nomad. The fun abruptly stopped when I returned home to a waiting wife, still holding the lunch she had made earlier to bring me while I slaved away out back ( gotta love the Nomad!!)

A nice ride

The mental relaxation break is needed every now and then. Clears out the cobwebs. My wife is usually the one that says "it's a nice day, I thought you would be out riding." Glad you had a good time.

A nice ride

Those are the best rides, sometimes. I do it now and then, just pick a direction and go.

A nice ride

Those rides alone are great for unwinding after 12 hours in the control room. Now that the time has changed I'll be able to make some rides before it gets dark. The bugs are getting terrible down here since we got some warmer weather. Glad to hear you got off of the excavator and had some well deserved fun.

A nice ride

Sounded great. I had one kinda like that on Saturday on the Natchez Trace Parkway and went for a 2 1/2 to 3 hour ride and saw over 60 bikes. Every single biker waved. Sorta killed that myth about all Harley riders being jerks. Jamie
