Well, indirectly. My gas prices went up because of it. That's nothing compared to those who were in the path of the storm, though. I'm not complaining. I hope the members who live in that area came through it okay.

If they got hit by Ike we probably wont hear from them for a bit. Probably got no electricity, no computer, no house, etc.

Well, Jussmatt, Bluetongue, texasfisherdude, LW and others were affected directly. Haven't heard from them yet. I would suspect that they are without electricity right now and probably suffering some damage from Ike.

The eye of Ike went directly over my house yesterday....50-55MPH winds and 2-4 inches of rain. My electricity went out for 4 hours, but came back on about 6PM and I suffered no damage on my property.

Hoping to hear from those guys in the Houston area today.

LW may be the closet to the hardest hit area. He is down in the Pasadena area. My guess is he may have had to work through it doing emergency rescue.

My daughter-in-laws parents live in Pasadena also. He had to work (Constable) so they stayed. They had some windows blow out, lots of shingles off of the roof, fences are down and gutters hanging, along with the normal trees limb damage. Of course no power.

My dad lives in NW Houston and sister in Richmond. Both are without power. They were told it could be two to three weeks before they get the power back on.

Trip...glad you came out of the winds ok. We got wind and rain and some tornadoes up here in NWLA, but nothing really more than a strong thunderstorm. South LA was not as good. SWLA form Cameron and Lake Charles all the way over to Terrebonne parish got lots of storm surge. Usually, when one goes in at Houston or Galveston we don't get alot, but Ike was different. Two deaths in Houma and even Grand Isle had 7 ft of water covering the island. Hope all the guys down in the path of Ike got out and are well.

Mike glad to hear you and Trip are ok I don't know much about Texas so i don't know where most of the guys live. I went to the weather channel and they had some pictures and it looks bad, I know just Matt lives in the Huston area I hope every one made it through ok.

The TV this morning reported 4 million without power for up to 2 to 3 weeks.
Texasfisherdude lives only 20 miles inland from Galviston Island. Last I heard he was going to ride out the storm. Hope he changed his mind.

The eye went pretty much right over us. Lots of trees down in the area and fences (North Houston). Power out, which sucks. Seems like some of the cellular service having problems too. Went by the in-laws house who got their power yesterday evening over in Cypress.
