Lights set up

Just curious - is it legal in the U.S. ( I know, I know, each state is different) to have the lights set up so that the lights on the light bar are illuminated at the same time as the OEM headlight? In other words, all three burning at the same time? OEM headlight on brights with the light bar on at the same time?

In Nevada you're allowed two lights on at one time. LEO told me it was an archaic law and they don't enforce it. I have three lights on in the daytime and have never had a problem.

Im in Ontario Canada, and three headlamps have never been illegal here.

In Georgia I always ride with the three lights on...unless they burn out on me. :-(

In New York State I believe you are supposed to have the light bar set up so the spots go off on low beam.
I have mine wired to stay on both high and low and never had a problem with law officers.
I have ment police cars with my low beam on in the day time with the spots lit and never got a second glance.

I have been riding for many years with a headlight flanked by a spot or driving light on each side. I have never been stopped or questioned about it.

I always have the headlight and two spotlights on.
Arkansas law says no more than two headlights.
I don't know at what size a spotlight becomes a headlight.
I've never had any problems in any state I've been in.

My Suzuki and Nomad both had driving lights and I always rode around with them on along with the high beam during daytime, low beam at night. Never had a problem. The Harley came with driving lights and they are wired to only work with the low beams. It would be easy enough to fix that, I'm just too lazy to do it.

What TC said is my understanding. You are not suppose to have all three plus with your high beams running. When you high beams go on, you other two should turn off.

I personally run with all three on all the time.

I ride with 5 lights on. The headlight and the two spots up front, and two more spots mounted on the crash bar. Never been stopped and passed plenty of cops.

I run with all three, all the time along with high beam, even at day and night. Figure if people don't like my high beam on, they can stop talking on their cell phones and yell out the window at me.

Not sure about the legality of it in Alabama but I see guys running with three on all the time.

Looking at it from the view of a car with running lights. You have two headlights and two running lights. Sooo, that 4 lights up front. And, you can buy the car that way in every State that I know of. Must be legal???
