Fairings....

I like to pride myself on being that one person who brings Stature to the plate.
___ Fairings___
Nomads...
2008...
1600....

What is the best bang for the bucks?
I searched the word "fairing" and really didnt get a "good" hit.
I am sure there has to be some where in this outstanding forum that has done it's Due Diligence in this arena....
Yes I am also a gamer
Since we are in the area of MODDING...let me ask....
Has anyone ever made/designed something a bit different than the normal leather looking bibs?
I am currently making mine of plexiglass.
I took of the right side engine guard and traced out an area on the plexiglass and cut it out.
Now I am trying to come up with a mounting solution.
I have thoughts of 1-1/4 chrome mounting brackets or just cut to the chase and use some chrome zip ties for a temporary winter solution.
Thoughts? Ideas?

Fairings....

Fairings have been discussed here quite a bit, there are a few different brands available, most are a HD clone. If you go the HD route you need to make up brackets, most of the others will bolt on. It all depends on your budget and what you want the inner fairing to look like. The HD's have provisions for gauges, some for mounting four speakers etc.Do a search on fairings and you will see whats available for the Nomads.

Fairings....

I've neen toying with the idea off and on too but since I put ape hangers on I think it kinda defeats the purpose of the fairing and looks odd IMO. I did ride a street glide recently, though, and the fairing is nice. Here are a few links I've collected. I also do a search for "harley fairing" on ebay and get lots of hits for good used fairings. I figure around $150 or so will get you a good used one.
