CB through Sena 20S

I've searched and found nothing to help me.

I want to use the Midland 75-822, Amazon for about $60, through my Sena 20S. I believe I need the Sena SR10 module thingie, not too sure I need an extra cable to connect the SR10 and CB.

Will this work?

Or could I rig the, bought separately, Midland headset w/PTT switch into my 20S?

Greetings,

I *JUST* bought and implemented that solution. Works pretty well.
Yes, you need the SR10, it comes with the PTT (Push To Talk) button. However, you will need the MIDLAND dual pin connector to run from the MIC - SPEAKER ports of the MIDLAND to the SR10.
Then pair the SR10 to your 20S (In my case SMH10).
The pairing of the SR10 to the headset (20s/SMH10) replaces your cell phone pairing. However, you can wire your cell phone to the SR10 and have most functionality.

Again, it does work well. The one thing that has changed, is that my voice on phone calls now has 'white noise' or static in the background.

This was my underlying question, about replacing the cell bluetooth connection. I only use my cell for navigation and music when I'm home. I don't use/support cell carriers in the states.

Thanks for the info.

Then you are home free. The MP3/Google NAV will audio through the AUX2 port with no issues. The CB will override, as it has precedence in the SENA SR10.
I am liking mine!

Sena with CB Radio

I have been using this setup for three years now, first with the SMH10 headset and now with a 20s. I love it. I did not lose my phone pairing and have not experienced any noise in my phone calls. I am considering adding the Kawasaki CB antenna (for better range) to my voyager and connecting to that instead of the small flexible antenna that comes with the Midland but I need to determine if the cable is long enough to route to come out of the fairing near the power outlet. Added bonus is that this setup is totally portable. I have traveled by air and rented a motorcycle at my destination and this works on any bike with round bars that will accept a RAM clamp. My Midland 75-822 came with three different power supplies, 12v plug adapter that also includes a hard wired antenna adapter, AA battery pack, battery pack for AA rechargeable batteries.

Bluetooth CB transmitter--Sena SR10
CB radio adapter cable--Sena SC-A0017
CB push to talk button--Sena SR10-A0202
CB radio--Midland 75-822
RAM mount--RAM-B-149Z-BC1U

Yup, this is going to be the way for me to go. That darn SR10 is just so expensive though. That'll be my next big purchase after IVANizing.
