Abbo; I ride in that area whenever I can. It is about two hours from me. I have every intention of riding that direction yet this year again -- especially in the fall months. I will post when I know I'll do it.

Nice bike!! (Black is best!!)

I need to put pictures on my posts... just too lazy yet; but will get on it.

I could only hope that our members try to develop their area with other Nomads. Eventuallly; there will be many choices for rides and connections among the group.

Keep looking for posts.

Found a 2008 Nomad at the last poker run I was in. He is now at the site... he lives close to Peoria so another has joined us. I need to find his name online though. His name is Dave.

That's great. We'll look for him to post.

On another note; Gofs99 (KawaNOW NCR member) and I are going to ride in a St. Jude ride up here on the 16th. The ride starts at Hammertime Sports (just outside/west on Rt. 20 of Belvidere, IL) at 10am with registration at around 8:30 - 9am. Ride is expected to be done by 2pm; with plenty of activities after. Should be fun.

That is a nice ride. Whenever I go back to Pekin I always take Rt 2 along the Rock River on thru Dixon; then take I-80 to I-180 on down along the Illinois River (west side -- I believe Rt 89?) on into Peoria. It is a nice ride. Rt 2 along the "rock" is a favorite local ride for quite a few bikers.

HOWEVER, we are going to have to get you up here so you can go on into the northwestern part of Illinois and the southwestern part of Wisconsin. Most people wouldn't believe they were in the Midwest after seeing some of these routes -- absolutely beautiful scenery and twisting/hilly roads. Worth the distance for you to travel sometime.

Scion0 and Roadman; when are you talking? Gofs99; are you listening also? Abbo... are you still out there? Stretch1968 are you interested? Ponch or anyone else from Iowa or the NCR interested?

I am intending on riding to that area on Sept 27th - possibly with a couple other guys but in any case -- whether solo or with a couple others I am going weather permitting. My wife will be joining me.

I could be easily convinced to take another trip on another day as well. Maybe labor-day weekend?

Let me know if you guys think you might be up for it and when.

Some of us could ride together from our prospective areas to meet everyone in Galena.

Scion0; roadman; stretch1968 (any one else?) from Central Illinois could ride up early together along the Mississippi route to Galena.

Gofs99 -- you and I could take off from our area near Rockford.

Ponch and anyone else from Iowa could also meet us there. I believe all of us could get there at a fairly early time to be able to ride around that area for a couple hours or so before heading back out.

Anyway; that is my idea. If anyone is interested post-up and be heard.

Thanks. Greg

We'll see if anyone else "chimes-in" and decide.

What is the rally in Iowa; and where -- if you don't mind me asking?
