Nomad Convert

After almost a 10 year sabbatical (previous bikes were 98, 99 Fat Boys & an 85 Goldie) I felt it was time. For the past 2 years, I kept hearing about the Nomad, so I'd occasionally look around to see what was out there. No sooner had I made the decision, an 05 with 3k miles popped up on Craigs for $2k less than anything I'd been looking at. Two hours later it was in my garage, when it's meant to be, it's meant to be!

I've put 1800 mi. on the last 1 1/2 months getting back in shape. I LOVE this bike! I see a few Nomads around here, including Scott "Cactus Jack". Mark G.'s blog and trip last year inspired me, and I'll be heading out end of June for 4-week Western States "bucket list" cruise. Glad to be part of the group and proud to be a member of the "Nomad Nation"!

p.s. bike is blue/silver, stock, except I've added Phat II's, ISO pegs, and should complete building my trailer by next week. Thanks for all the great info!

Welcome to a great group! I'm curious what is on your western states "bucket list". I live in the NW just north of Seattle and I could probably add a couple routes your list.... ;)!

would love it, but Oregon, Washington, & B.C. are gonna have to wait till next year. This trip is CO., Yellowstone, Idaho, & Utah. Thanks!

There is a lot of good riding in Utah. I used to live there. Utah has some of the most spectacular geography and scenery in the world.
