Pissed Motorcyclist Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver, Then Robbed While Unconscious

This biker has a helmet cam video of a car making a U turn in front of him and then leaving the scene. After he was passed out on the pavement someone stole his cash from his wallet.

Interesting comment made by the rider,“In my mind, I had caused an accident, I was at fault, I was being irresponsible. And upon seeing the crash [on video], I knew that wasn’t the case,” he said.

I wonder in what way he considered himself being "irresponsible" as the report does not detail how he determined that factor. The car performing a u-turn from the parking lane is clearly wrong to not have confirmed no other traffic dangers. But was the rider too close to that lane? Perhaps a bit over the speed limit (like many of us ride)?
