Coming to visit?

Hey Dave, Mike and Greg (and Ponch): I am thinking about a 3-4 wk trip mid May to Mid June. Lv Charlotte NC around the 15th and go thru GA, AL, MS into TX to stop for a couple day is east TX to visit Friends. Then on thru SW TX & NM to Tucson AZ. Want to hit some of the NM and AZ southern Mountains then up to Kanab UT for the SW regional rally that is May 29-31. From there up to NE CO to visit friends and then on to Des Monines to visit my daughter and grand kids. Was thinking that the timing would be about right to meet you folks at JP mid day on the 8th and make your rally. Both the 8th and 9th will be overnights in Praire Du Chein correct. Would leave from PDC on 10th morning and head for FT Wayne to visit son and grand kids the home to Charlotte by about the 15th on June. What do you think? Is JP and lunch in Anamosa a firm yes or a firm no? I used to live in Ceda Rapids IA nad my territory included the river road so can pick some other rendovous spot if Anamosa is out. Has the hotel in PDC been picked.

Oh and I think it was Dave that wants to do this trip or something simular. Come south and meet me along the way and we'll "get er done" as Larry the cable guy says. And that is a real offer, always looking for company on the long distance rides.

I believe that it is Hotel of choice. I have a room booked at the Super 8 in both Savanna and Prairie du Chien, both nice clean places.

You got it down right, Greg! Everybody get your reservation soon.

Ross - If you can, you ought to meet up with us in Savanna, IL. We're not going to Anamosa, IA this time. Or, if you like, I can meet up with you and we can travel to Savanna together. I live about 80 miles north of Des Moines and it wouldn't be a problem for me.

Ross,
If you could leave Des Moines on the 7th, I'll meet you in the close vicinity, we could travel to Anamosa to visit JP, then east on Hwy 64 to Sabina, then cross the river to Savanna. FYI.....I like to stay off interstates when possible.

Any chance you could go to the rally and ride with us, Ponch?

I'd love to, but I don't know how I will be then. I have an appointment with a surgeon this monday. When I spoke last to him in April, he wanted to fuse c3,c4, and c5.Well, it's gotten worse in the last month. Instead of weakness, I have pain, numbness and atrophy now. I am not looking forward to this at all. I just hope I'll ride again.

Dave, meeting and riding over to Ill sounds good. I will be working out all the details of the "bg loop ride" in the next 45-60 days and will confirm things then. Any one interested in sharing a room in Savanah or PDC? Jim and I shared on the trip to Calif this year and it sure helped with expenses.
Jim, I know what you are going thru. I was looking at similar surgery before I ended up with the implant in my spine. Hope that it works out for you like it did for me. Prayers for you, buddy!

I'll let you know how it goes. BTW, Ross is very easy to travel with and it was a lot of fun in addition to saving money. ;)

Just trying to catch up 2012 NCR. You can count on us attending. I will plan on bringing canopy tent so that we can have aplace to hangout in the evening. Also a place for riders of other brands will have a place to park their bikes. We know how tender they are, I will not mention any names. Oh maybe I will, GLW, Gibby, Ponch...etc. Besides we must keep our reputation of "The Circus Tent" going & a place for dmac to talk about little Indian fires.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
I have not put the Nomad away yet, we rode 200 miles 2 weeks ago & plan on riding this Saturday.
Safe riding to all

That's sounds great Don. We'll definitely have to keep the tradition of the evening-tent-gatherings! Denny might break-out into one of his indian dances or something! LOL!

Oh... by the way... you didn't have to say you are still riding... that wasn't very nice!!!

I definitely have this on my list to attend. (I won't know 100% until January) I will make reservations soon. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

glwilson, I'm still riding , on the Nomad I have no problem in the cold, it was 18 degrees when I left for work this morning, as long as there is no ice on the road, I'm good.
