Lunch in Tahlequah

David (Framer) and I had been trying to find time to do some riding in the Cookson Hills of eastern Oklahoma.
Today we decided to meet in Webbers Falls and ride north to Tahlequah for lunch.
It was a longer ride for him than for me to Webbers Falls but he was there when I got there.

We only had time to ride about 100 miles together before we needed to head in opposite directions.
But it was fun and a great way to spend a rather hot Sunday.
We won't need to ride far to find some crooked roads in the Boston Mountains in a few weeks.

Hopefully all you other SouthCentral members are finding time to ride.

I go to Cookson Hills Christian Ministry about 25 miles from Tahlequah in the second week of May each year. We always go to Fishes BBQ. It is a great place with great food. The roads around that area are fun riding also.

It was a great time today Dave. We found out there's not enough crooked roads for a rally in Tahlequah but they were fun for a day. One of the best roads (highway 80) was still underwater from all the flooding. I road about 420 miles, 159 to and from and 100 with Dave.
Now I'm just counting the days to the rally, how many days is it anyway?

Nice, you guys. Any ride is a good ride. We will be leaving in about two weeks for Atlanta. Then spend the next week and a half getting home through Tennessee, Kentucky, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, then finally Arkansas.

That sound like a great trip Paul. Be safe and maybe we'll see you somewhere this year. I heard there's going to be a flu outbreak in October and the flu shots will be given in Antlers Oklahoma.

Not to worry. Had quite a few shots out there myself. Made me feel kinda puny the next morning, but nothing I didn't get over.
