At the end of the day on my first cross country trip I called home and my wife knew exactly where I had been that day. I asked her "how the hell you know where I've been"? She tracked me by going on our debit bank account and could see where I bought fuel. The next day I paid for all my fuel with cash
 Actually, a spot tracker is a pretty good idea so your peeps can track your progress.
