Jack adapter

I jacked my '08 Nomad up for the first time today on the craftsman jack (on sale this week for $69). I put a piece of 3/4" thick pine on the rear top rail to get it level. I did have to level the bike first by putting a 2"x4" & 3/4 "pine sandwich under the kickstand so the jack could slide right under. Seemed pretty stable and I did use one of the two included straps. I was able to move it around on the stand with no problem. The wheels are about 10"off the floor and engine is about 18" off the floor.

Jack adapter

Does anyone know if Idaho's adapter will work with a Harbor Freight jack? I read somewhere that they are identical to the Craftsman jack.

Anyone, anyone, Bueller? Bueller?

Hey CJ, My adapter will work with any jack that has flat bars that fit under the bike at 90 degrees to the frame rails.

Jack adapter

Got my adapter from Idaho today. It works great! The bike maintains the same degree of level on the jack as it has on the ground (front to rear), and it is level side to side. The adapter is easy to put on.

The adapter is painted white, I think Idaho should have painted it red and titanium to match my bike. ;) ;)

Thanks Idaho!!

He painted mine green. It's so people don't forget to take it off. It's real noticable if it's an off color otherwise they'd be black most likely.

Beez is correct. Anything but black as long as it is the color that the powder coat shop is running at the time. The brighter the better. The reason is that I almost drove off with my black one still attached to the bike! Not a good idea. Most of them are now coming out white. Perfect.
