I wound up going with this Iuhan® Fashion Car Boat Motorcycle Dual USB Charger DC 12V To 5V 3A Power Adapter Supply https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GCIEX6U..._GRd9xbBX0WF0S. Im going to drill a small hole in the right glove box (leave it in there) and with a fuse wire it the accessory wires down by the headlight.

I'll take a pic of the plug on the bike today. Sorry been busy.
Ok Snakeranch here it is the mounted on the Nomad. I made up a couple of SS barrels a few years back to house the receptacle.

Nice to have two outlets. Just make sure you keep them where the damp won't get to them. The glove boxes on the Voyager / Vaq's are not renowned for keeping out the wet weather. That's why there are small drainage holes in the bottom of them.

That is really clever. I like that idea of having it facing up. The vibration can't shake it out if gravity is working in your favor.

Vibration solution

Version 1.0 , Not pretty but looks like it will work. V1.1 will have better angles and a polished look. Raining today so I have not tested it. May not be the best idea, but the Concept is sound. Ideas can be built off of this.

I went more low budget, but it seems to work for me. I found a socket with a cover tethered to it that keeps the water out. I just wire tied I to the wire/controls going to the left side handle bar.

Sorry, I haven't figured out how to rotate the image yet...

Well To long of a bracket, if it falls off it will scratch my tank. maybe if it came up under the plug and I used a cable tie to hold the plug in?

Plug

BUT as soon as i would accelerate the damn plug would vibrate right out of the socket! Evertime I plugged it back in it would pop out as soon as I would take off again so I never got to use it. I was thinking about crazy gluing one of those little usb adapters in there but I need to find one with a rubber boot to keep the water out when im not using it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've seen a usb adapter that looks similar to the kawasaki cigarette lighter with the plastic threads and a plastic nut but I dont know if it would fit in the stock hole in the faring.
Are you saying the charge cord pops out? That happens when I plug in my gps, as I ride along, I'm constantly reaching down and pushing it back in.
I did by one of those usb charge plugs, that one doesn't come out.

Another good source for waterproof/marine electrics is here: https://powerwerx.com/panel-mounts

All of the items on this page come with rubber gaskets and cover plugs.
Kinda pricey, but is just exactly what I was looking for!
