2021 vaquero vanice and hines double slash

Was told that you could not put the Vance and Hines double slash exhaust on a new bike because of the O2 sensor. I used the same part number exhaust that I had on my 2010 nomad and when I got them I mod. the new one so the O2 would fit. Worked out great. I cut the fitting for the O2 out of the stock muffler then drilled a new hole in the VH muffler and welded it up. If you do this make sure you install the O2 sensor in the fitting before you weld. I had to run a tap down the threads after welding because of slag in the threads. Warning: If you have not got your ECU tuned this will make the backfiring sound like gun shots. I am waiting for winter to send in my ECU to IVAN . On my 2010 that tune made my bike seem like a new bike.

Did not get the flash because its a brand new bike and I wanted to ride for what time I have left before it gets cold. Once it starts getting cold I will send it in and get it done.

So the only reason they wont work, is the 02 sensor? Vance and hines say they wont fit. Ive just bought a 21, and want to put vance on it. I know I will have to have it reflashed, but if thats all it is , is the 02..bring it on.

I don't think you need to get the ECU reflashed if you are only getting an exhaust system fitted.

No. Doesn't required the reflash just for Mufflers,,,,, but the reflash is well worth the money for the change in over all performance. May just be my bike but the reflash works better with the stock mufflers as far as a torque to RPM curve. Flat land I can run 55 mph and pull up to 80 really fast in 6th gear with my 375 lbs azz. Couldn't/wouldn't do it with the V&H mufflers. Needless to say but I've got a very gently used set hanging on the shop wall.
