Wndvest 10'' Review Vaquero

Have around 300 miles on the Windvest 10'' windshield and overall it works great. Been up to speeds of 80 mph on the highway with heavy front winds and it does a great job of deflecting the air however you do hear the air against the windshield at speeds over 60 mph a little more. I was thinking of installing an amp and speakers before this windshield but I can now hear the radio clear as day with the volume set at 11. I wear a halfshell helmet and I do sometimes get the slightest amount of buffeting on the top of the helmet. I'm 5'11'' and the windshield sets just under nose level with the stock seat. I was stuck between the Windvest 10'' and Cee Bailey's 9'' and although i do love the way the Windvest performs, I have mixed emotions on how blocky it looks from the front unlike the Cee Bailey. The quality seems good and although it is not thicker at the bottom like the stock, I dont see having any problems with cracking unless you overtighten the mounting bolts. I may be trying out the Cee Bailey's 9'' in the near future and if it performs like the Windvest, I may switch only for cosmetic reasons.

I have the same 10" windvest shield on my bike, except i installed it under the factory shield. Would not consider trading it for any other shield out there.

I agree....its probably going to be tough to match the performance of the windvest.

I have a 10" Windvest on my Voyager and Love it, great view, nice wind but no buffeting, and I really like the look of it, totally changed from the stock 18" shield.

I needed to be sure it was tall enough when I bought my Wind Vest... It's a long way to ship a screen if it's too short.

So I bought a 12" light smoke Wind Vest off Ebay made for an Electra Glide (HD screens are cheaper anyway) and cut the bottom straight to suit the Voyager mount. It's probably not something you could do with Vaq, since the trim covers the odd shape of the center and outer holes.

It's a good height for rider plus passenger, and I can still easily see over the top... so I'm not inclined to cut it any shorter for the time being. Electra Glide screens are available in a much bigger range of sizes than those made specifically for the Voyager / Vaq too, so it's a little easier to find exactly the right height.

I run the 12" National Cycle that Makaw sells and put the factory deflector on the front. Looks and works great. 5"10" and Mustang seat.

I took the windvest off shortly after 300 miles so it doesn't get scratched until I decide whether or not to switch to the Cee Bailey 9''. Mamma won't let me buy the Cee Bailey until I sell the Wind Vest...lol. So this will probably be going up for sale soon.
