CycleChamp1982 : checking in
Just got my 2006 Nomad (with only 3430 miles on the odometer) last Monday. My best friend for over 30 years had been encouraging me to make the "leap" for sometime. I say a "leap" because until the other day I hadn't ridden a bike that needed to be shifted, except for bicycles, since the '50's. I got back to the motorized kind in 2003 when I discovered the "Mega-Scooters", my latest being a Burgman 650, which I bought new in 2005. So, I am still in the learning zone on the Nomad. My wife wasn't to enthusiastic about me buying it until she saw it, but now she keeps telling me what a good looking bike it is. She won't be riding pillion though, until I feel completely competent on the Nomad.
