Which Side?

Hi All,

Some good ideas here. Getting on or off the motorcycle involves some choices and there are advantages and disadvantages to each of them. So thinking is definately required. The general principle for me is to put the motorcycle between me and the traffic. I can keep an eye on what's happening behind me as I get on/off and I've got a way out if something untoward is happening. Depending on where I'm stopped that means I can get on/off on the left or the right.

Other considerations might be; where am I parked (in my garage, up against a wall or vehicle, in a parking lot), which way are the handlebars turned, how is your bad knee doing etc..

So, no one answer is correct when it comes to getting on/off your ride
