Do I need this hose?

Bought an ebay intake kit that is a copy of the thunder adapter. Plugged the pair tube and the adapter had a spot for my breather tube. There was not a place for the circled line so i deleted it. Got to work this a.m. and had some streaming of oil down the right side engine cover which appeared to be coming from the filler cap.

Not familiar with the aftermarket air kit, but if you have oil coming out your filler cap, you have plugged your breather hose IMO and now pressurizing your crank case. Good way to cause oil seal leaks. Run the crank case breather hose up higher and put an aftermarket breather on the end.

I believe that is the solution. Im about 45 miles of 65+mph riding from home. Guess ill have to poke back on some back roads.

After a little further inspection it appears that the breather hose was kinked in half. I cut the hose and re ran it. I may just run to autozone and do a parking lot fix on the way home.

Yes it's the crankcase vent.

The oil was leaking out due to the oil filler cap not having an o ring on it. The crankcase breather hose is the larger hose that runs to a nipple on the back of the intake bracket. That little hose had no place. Bike seems to run fine.
