What is everyone up to?
By my count there are around 20 of us in the Eastern Canada region and I began to wonder what everyone is up to and how your riding season going?
Some of us who are geographically closer meet up for a day in Kingston. Also several of us will in a couple of weeks be attending the North Eastern Rally in lake George NY. All this is probably old news to most, so I am thinking about you guys who are a little more spread out. Have you seen or meet any Nomads riders in your area, gone for any great rides or trips, attended any local rallies, etc?

I was on a ride around Lake Simcoe yesterday, and there was a guy there with a 2000 Nomad that looked quite similar to mine.
I spoke to him briefly, but didn't get to ask him if he was a member here, (I doubt it) He also lives in Newmarket so maybe I'll see him again someday. There was also a red/black Nomad at one of our checkpoints yesterday, but I didn't get to meet them.

I haven't riden in over a week but things will change tomorrow. Heading off to Niagra and the southern Ont. part of the world for some time (& miles) with my girlfriend (air miles for the rally). A few meets setup with old friends that I haven't seen in too many years. A little ajustement to do on the fairing and maybe a wash and wax today, (water restrictions with fines, I'll have to be stealth with the wash). & just plain old on vacation for 3 more weeks..... so far so good. See you all next week in Lake George

Hi!
Been a tad quiet, besides riding to work & the ride to Kingston 2 weeks ago, been quiet. Did some minor work on the bike, adjustments & throttle body cleaning. I will be leaving for Newfoundland in a week & 1/2. I wanted to take this time & wish all of you a gr8 & safe ride to Lake George! Cheers Guy

My Wife and I took a ride out to Cornwall to met up with a friend today. Perfect riding weather, not too hot and none of the humidity like the last few weeks. We saw a green on green Nomad at the Blue Anchor restaurant on hwy 2 near Summerstown, no one here I imagine.
Have a safe trip to Niagara Sly, are you taking hwy 18 for part of the way? Guy, Thanks for the good wishes on the Lake George ride. Hope you have a great time in NFLD.

Denis, The American side of the seaway sounds like a nice ride, I'll have to try that. You have double the mileage I have on my 08, but I'll admit I can't always get out as often as I would like to.
I understand the Fran motel had 2 rooms left on June 25th when Clyde made his reservation. You could call them, or ask on the north eastern board if anyone is looking to split on a room. Let us know, so we can meet up along the way.

Hey East Coasters!
I know this isn't relevant to you but will comment on this thread anyways. The weekend was wonderful on the West Coast. My wife needed to test her new windshield so we rode to Point Roberts, WA, had a good Greek food at Steveston Village and yes the Memphis Shades passed the test. Saw three Nomads in a matter of 3 or 4 hours. One of them was a Fuel Injected 1500. I believe the other two were 1600s. As far as plans, we're getting ready for a multi-state trip.... timebandit>> BTW, my 08 as turn 32.000 already << The Nomads in Red+Black tend to cover a lot of km in a short time; my '08 has 21K, did the first 16K km last year when new. BTW, is that km or miles? Ride safe, ride long. Elvis |

Norm & Timebandit, that American side of the seaway sounds like a nice ride for sure, maybe we can plan that one once you guys get back from Lake George & I’m back from Newfoundland...just an idea... Cheers Guy

Elvis always happy to hear what others are doing. Sounds like it was a good ride. 3 Nomads in 3-4 hours that's pretty good. Some times I see quite a few and then I can go weeks without seeing one unless I go to the dealer's show room.
