Anniversary

Today (March 15) marks the two-year anniversary of when I wrecked my Nomad. Yes, I did ride today, I am not superstitious.

This morning I received the e-mail reminder from the Arizona DOT that I have to renew the registration on my Harley by April 15. It's only $348.99. $50 of that is due to my specialty/personalized license plate.

It's the AZ "freedom" plate (red white and blue) and the tag says "LMTD", since it's an Ultra LIMITED. I'd post a pic but I can't get to Photobucket from work. A portion of the $50 goes to a charity to assist veterans.

I, on the other hand, would celebrate. He survived this accident with little or no consequences. And he stood up on both feet almost right away and got a new bike in no time. That calls for a celebration.

Glad you are not superstitious and took the HD to work. I recently payed for a new sticker for my Vic, it was $17.00 for the year.

Or, best to get right back up on the horse. Good on you Scott. My plate is going to cost in the $600 range, a good portion of that is because we are special in Quebec, but the plate is normal.

Congratulations on two years of trouble free riding. Glad you survived the crash, but you had a beautiful Nomad. Sorry it did not survive.

In contrast, my 1991 Ford Bronco costs about $30 a year to register.

I'm guessing that most of you who pay low motor vehicle fees probably have much higher real estate property tax rates than we do here. The state has to get their money from somewhere.

personalized plate is a once and done deal here in Pa. something like 25 or 35. + $18 for registration each year.

I paid $80 for a two year renewal with the FL tag.

There is no property tax on vehicles registered n FL.
