Wow....Almost makes me wish I would have waited one more year to replace my 900.
Those 1700's sure do look good (but so does my 1600)
Like the Voyager...Have been wondering when it would come back.

The bags look a bit iffy, but maybe they'll grow on people. If I had known the specs, (cruise control, gear indicator, 6th gear) I might have waited before getting my Nomad back in May. However, it also depends on the price as well. If the price is the same, I'll really kick myself. (well, not too hard, it's not like we could have predicted this in May)

If it's the same price you can kick me too.

The gear position indicator is really handy. I used to have a 1985 Suzuki Madura 700 that had a 6 speed with gear indication.

With six gears, I would need the indicator, or I'd probably keep looking for 7th like now when I try to find 6th, but then I would find it, but that's... oh never mind.

I think about the only feature that I would like on my 08 is a sixth gear. It seems like an overdrive gear on it would be perfect. The 09s look pretty cool, especially the Voyager. I think it's good that Kaw put a 6th gear on the 09. I've never owned a belt drive bike, so I wonder how that change will go. I really love the shaft drive.

You can have the 6th speed.........I'll take the cruise control. ;)

Looks like a match to me.

Nice bike BTW. Also, this thing will cost WAY more than the Nomad so don't worry about that.

Think I'll keep the 1600, she's done me well, I would slip the 6-speed and belt drive on it though, be perfect then.

I need to stick with my 1500, but when the time is right, I'll jump up...just not anytime soon. The Nomad sure is a looker though.

Thanks rebal100 for posting the info. Interesting reading.

I will stick with the Nomad and I am glad to see it still in the line up. I like the less bulky, cruiser look of the Nomad. My Nomad runs and idles just fine. Seems silly to me to see a quality stereo on a noisey motorcycle.

What's not to like about the cruise control, 6th gear, and gear indicator feature?

I'm glad to see the Nomad is still in the line up too. I would have to see the saddlebags to make a decision on 'em. I like the uniqueness of our side opening bags. Looking forward to seeing one at the dealership too.
