new windshield. Thank the Lord

Just got the slipstreamer 10in. Dark smoke shield for the Vaq. The stocker is useless. I rode today about 50 miles and came home almost deaf from the wind noise. Cant wait to take her out tomorrow for a ride.

Amen to that. I put the 12" Kawasaki shield on today and it made a hell of a difference too. I could probably do a 14" as well but I'll ride with this for a while. I didn't realize with the Kawasaki shield you also get the chrome strip. At $128 delivered I thought it was a fairly good deal.

I want as little chrome as possible on the bike, but if the 10in. Is not sufficient, thats my next shield. Looks nice on your Vaq.

The dark shield looks very good. If I get another then I'll definitely get a smoked or dark one

It was 47.00 on Amazon. Worth it very strong. Only modification was to add black tape on the back to cover what the chrome piece on your bike covers.

Of the Voyagers and Vaqueros that I've ridden, one of my biggest complaints was the windshield. Looks like Kawi should have extended the width of the shield out to just about the width of the fairing.

After buying three shields before I finally got it right with the Clearview medium shield, I learned that it's best to just go ahead and get one tall enough to throw the wind over your head, those 8-10 inch shields just didn't do it for me, still got a lot of buffeting around the head area.

I like my Rifle 14" Tinted . . . looks good and keeps wind/rain off me . . . I look over the shield instead of through it . . .

How is the wind for the passenger with the 14" shield?

Yeah they do. And it is a huge improvement over stock. I am doing a 300 mile run this weekend around Lake Okeechobee, so lets see how it performs. I may still get a 12 inch clear for the long highway journeys above 75 mph.

No. Irode with the 5 inch stock winshield for the first week I had the bike. The wind noise was killing my ears, so I went with the 10 inch slipstreamer and it is night and day difference. Its also dark smoke so it doesn't make the Vaq look like the voyager up front. Super happy with the new shield.

I may get the 12 inch for two up riding with wifey on long trips, but the smoked screen is for me.
