I rode 100 miles today

I went for a ride today and again remembered the reasons I bought the Nomad. I am a Wisconsin native and 20 years ago I came to Texas to attend college and have been here ever since. Now that I have the bike, I truly enjoy living in a state where the term "winterizing" is a foreign term.

Sorry to my Northern brothers & sisters, but I can't help it.

Got 115 in today in Northern Virginia and across the border into West Virginia. Stoled a day from Old Man Winter. But that will change tomorrow with rain & sleet just in time for the Redskin/Cowboys football game. Go Cowboys!!!

Great to hear others can get out. I got in about 40 miles this morning, just a little ride in the sun here in Florida.

I rode 100 miles today

Was a bit chilly this morning, sure was glad to have the new leathers. Made a run with dear Daughter from Pasadena to Brazoria about 10 this morning. If not for my ice-box hands it would have been perfect. Was a bit warmer on the afternoon return trip. All totalled about 150 miles there abouts.

Glad to hear that you were able to get out an ride. I have had my Bronco's hubs locked since mid November just to get out of my driveway. Not MC weather. Winter Storm Warning here with a Blizzard warning up just 20 miles north of here. At least I can tie flies to pass the winter.

I put in about 40 miles today. The weather was great. I just had other things to do until late afternoon. It was great to get out.

I rode 100 miles today

I rode about 100 miles today, couldn't go too far from home since I am on call for work this weekend. Temps were in the high 50's-low 60's.

I rode 100 miles today

It warmed up here in the Brazos Valley quite nicely today. I polished up the chrome, and took a "quick" ride that wound up taking a couple of hours. Altogether it was 120+ miles. I'm working up to 180+ at a time; both of my parents live about that distance away, one in Overton (East Texas), and the other in Mesquite.

I hit about 77 - 80 most of the drive, and it went by too quickly. I can't wait for the spring to take much longer rides, especially before the rains come.

Jon, I grew up in East Texas, and even lived in Tyler for a couple of years before moving to Bryan/College Station. I graduated from UT Tyler in Dec 1999 (I went back to school in my late twenties). I'm looking to ride up to East Texas, but probably not before winter is over.

Burk, you should let us know when you get ready to come back to Tyler. The local Blue Knights and Special Guest Trip had a nice ride of about 100 miles today.
