Extended vance and hines bagger duals
1999 Nomad with Vance and hines bagger duals. I made the baffles or diverter (similar to the thunder header baffle) ,but mine are inside. I wanted the pipes out past the bags (eventually for flame throwers) so I installed 2 exhaust adapters from Auto zone (1 3/4" i.d. x 1 3/4" o.d. 12" in length) made 2 slits in the pipe where the pipe slips over the head pipe to get a uniform seal then cut them to the length needed to get the muffler mounting point to line up with the second mount then just welded another mount to the brace , first mount is still there just not in use. Gonna add 2 chrome heat shields to cover the extended pipe just don't have 2 freakin hose clamps. All in all the muffler tips are moved back about 3 1/4" from original and about an 1 1/2" past the fender tip. I LOVE the additional length and look!
