Wife's first ride

After a minor (stupid cager) accident three and a half years ago on my previous bike, my wife decided she would face her fears and take a ride with me!!! We only rode about 80 miles, but she seemed to enjoy the ride and didn't seem to have any fears. I'm not ready to build a trailer or order a larger sissy bar bag yet, but it's exciting to have her ride 2-up with me again.

Congrats to her on facing her fears. I can fully understand where she is coming from. It would be very unnerving to get back on after something like that. Slow and steady and she probably will realize that she does have fun on the back and want to ride more.

Wife's first ride

Hey Buckeye! I was wondering if you were still around...oh wait, it is me that hasn't been around lately.

Glad to hear she went for a ride with you. I know how much you said you wanted her to be riding with you when we talked in Elkins. Hope you can persuade her to go more often and maybe we will get a chance to meet your bride.

Hope Ohio weather is still good for you.

Good job getting her back on...I know that you didn't ask her just once. Keep getting her on and in no time she'll want to go to the National Rally.

Right on. My wife has also just got back on the horse after 19 years. It is definitely better to share your passions.

Since having the better-half on the bike again, I've been cut off by cagers almost everytime we've been out. The same reoccurring theme is that it's been at intersections.

I don't know if it's happening more often now or if I'm just taking note of it because Sylvia is on the bike.

Ride safe and ride often.

Buckeye, I'm glad that she's riding again! I know talking with you in Elkins, you expressed your hope in getting her back on one day. Hopefully our paths will cross again soon. Take care.
