Is there anyone out there that owns a 03 nomad 1500 running chuckster single plate , dual bagger cobra exhaust with a power Commander III usb that be willing to share their dyno map.. Had mine on dyno and frig the fuel mileage went down to 23 mpg ..or 102 miles for a full tank...

To me that is awful bike runs 2 rich..

I have chuckster map from his site,, it is better approx 30 mpg

Have you tried any maps from the Dynojet website? Obviously, they won't have a map specifically for the "chuckster's single plate intake", but maybe one for a Thunder Mfg intake and dual pipes might work.

23 MPG is ridiculously low.

Have you tried cleaning the throttle body thoroughly with carb cleaner and a toothbrush? The symptoms you describe are exactly what a dirty throttle body creates. There is a how to on this in our Tech section that explains it a bit more. Your setup is a rather common one and the Power Commander sight should have a map that gets you in the ballpark real close. I have a very similar setup and I can get close to 200 miles to a tank in the warmer weather. In winter I found that the fuel mileage nosedives drastically to about 130-140 miles to the tank. Even in summer my bike smells ritch especially when the motor is cold, it used to bug me but since it perform well Ive learned to live with it.

I have the same as you, but i usually get about 40mpg, it runs rich every once in a while when i really lay into the gas but beyond that it is a good map. I will try and pull it off the bike later. Someday i home to have time to play with it and get it dialed in better but till then i am happy.

Are you positive that the throttle body is clean? It makes a huge difference in the idle and mileage of the bike. All the maps in the world won't make it run right if its dirty.

Might want to double check your current map. Perhaps, you hit the enter button one too many times or something while you were programming it. Sometimes shit just happens.

Are the spark plugs clean, if they are fouled up it could effect the proper running.

If you've never cleaned the throttle body, it's something that needs to be done periodically. I cleaned mine every time I changed my oil. I doubt this has anything to do with your problem, but just wanted to throw that in there.
