GPS mount

We picked up an Amcor 3.5 inch GPS last weekend and need a universal handle bar mount as the company doesn't make one for the unit, Anybody got a source?

You bet. I just bought a Ram Mount set up for my 30GB Zune. Ram Mounting Systems

I didn't see a mount specifically for an Amcor GPS, but they have universal systems. The web site is a little odd to navigate, but they have almost any configuration you can think of. It's good quality stuff, too.

Thanks, Iv'e gotten a lot of feedback for the Ram mounts. I put the suction cup on the Nomads' windshield, didn't think it would stay, but after a couple days of riding around it is still stuck tight, so I'm going to try it that way for a while once I rig up a lanyard.

Personally, I'd be afraid of that, but if you rig up some type of lanyard so when the suction cup lets go, you don't lose the unit on the highway at 70MPH, you should be alright.

I just tested my RAM mounting system. Nice and solid all the way to Coolidge and back (60 miles) at speeds up to about 75. I was worried the holder wouldn't grip the Zune tight enough, but it does.

I'd be real cautions about usingthe suction mount on the bike, even with a lanyard. If/when it pops off you're gonna be scrambling to catch it. Just natural.

I went with the 'U" mount on the handlebar with a medium length stand. Works very well.

GPS mount

I use RAM mounts for everything (GPS, 2-way radio, FM Radio, Cup holder, etc)! I have three mounts and just change what I carry based on the trip that I'm planning.

I took a Ram universal mount and modified it for my Mio C230 GPS. See http://www.bulldogsbike.com/nomadmods.htm#miogps
