Anyone else have an uneven gap on hard bags?

The left side is touching my fender trim and the other side has about a quarter inch gap. I took the bags off a few times to look and see if there was an easy adjustment, I found none. I'm trying to understand why its like this, I'm not sure if the bracket is bent or the bracket just needs to be moved over somehow. Before I start taking things apart has anyone else have this issue or a fix?

uneven gap on hardbags

I had the same thing , bring it back to the dealer they will correct it , its a quiet recall , meaning if you dont complain they will not fix it. Kawasaki is aware of it , thats what the dealer told me.

Mine is the same way I just haven't done anything about it because it wasn't so bad that it was rubbing and it doesn't bother me that much. I believe from another forum I saw the official fix from Kawi was to put a piece of heater hose around the nub that fits into the lower bag support so that it spaces it away from the fender filler piece. So, I will probably just do it myself next time I take the bag off.

I believe the bag on the left is a little slow, and the bag on the right is just trying to run away from that offensive word on the top of your license plate

... I noticed the difference from day one, now its bugging me.. Heater hose sounds good. I don't wanna bring it in to the stealer if I don't have to. I don't like nicks a scratches.

Yup, noticed it when taking the back apart to size up a rear end
clean up. Found two rubber grommets not fully engaged by panels
and a seat bushing that was knocked off and chilln' in a precarious
place! WTF else am I going to find?

Mine was rubbing the left bag, and wore through the paint. I covered it with touch up paint, and tweaked the bracket found near the tip of the fender. Now I have plenty of room. - I never even tried the dealer maybe I should have ??

Same thing here. Didn't notice it until at the Dealer getting rear tire installed. Was told the same, quiet recall. Fixed it at the same time. Maybe this thread ought to be placed in the warranty issues section. For now , the word needs to get out. I had a 3/4" X 1.25 " spot on the fender of abaded paint.

So now that that's settled

I dont have uneven gaps but my filler panels and fender under my plate seems loose and is giving me a good rattle at speed. I can grab the bottom piece around the crease of the filler panels a move it around pretty easily. How solid is everyone else's? Maybe I'm missing clips or something?

I'd say something is missing or unattached. If it's loose near the bottom, I would suspect the part circled in red in this picture. This is also the part I tweaked to even the gaps and create clearance on the left bag.

Well it looks like that piece is attached. The bottom is quite solid. After getting under the bike it looks like the rubber grommets where it all snaps together might not be beefy enough?

How exactly did you tweak it?
