Hi all

That is good news, glad you can make it!
Mmmmm speaking of duty free...How much can we buy & bring into the States?
I will be looking in the "Crown Royal" department :)

I have bought 3 crown royals and no issues. So I don't know what the limit is.

Are the guy from Quebec going to meet us at Fort Erie too? Or is it just the Ontario ones that will just be traveling together.

No; they cross at a border a lot further east and ride through NY.
Besides you and my pal Im not sure exactly who else will be joining us for sure. Anyone is welcome to meet up with us. Our goal is to get at least well into West Virginia on the Sunday so we have only about 4-6 hours left to ride on the Monday. Thats about 5-600 miles which should be a good day of riding.

No, We will be leaving early Sat morning and stretching the ride out over 3 days. We will cross into the states maybe at Cornwall or Prescott and make our way over to the 81 from there.
It will be close to 1100 miles for us, I'm not sure if it is less for you guys and if so by how much. We want to arrive at MV early Mon afternoon. I imagine if you guys leave Sunday as Ring plans, and the distance is a fair bit shorter and you ride a bit harder than us you may catch up to us.

Its about 850 miles from my house, but I will be a 110 miles north of that when I leave Sunday morning. We were just going to ride and then find a room somewhere in West Virginia, as were not real sure how far we'll get. A lot depends on the weather as well.
Our goal is to arrive early afternoon on the Monday as well. With any luck we may meet up somewhere on the road and all ride in together.

I think stopping at Fayetteville WV would be a good place. 8hrs and 800 kms for the first day. 5 hrs and about 460 km the second day. I think that would be a good strategy. What do you think?

Thats what we were thinking as well, that will put us in a good position to have a good start on Monday and arrive at a decent time of day.
Do you have your passport? If not you better apply as it takes 2-4 weeks to arrive.

Yes, I do have my passport. We go to the states quite regularly. I have a SENA intercom SHM10 on the helmet so if you have one that would be another bonus. SOOOO looking forward to this. It will be exciting and adventurous for me.

When both our groups get our respective plans tweaked and it gets a little closer to the time, we can exchange cell phone #'s. Yea I know it is expensive to use the cell in the U.S, but a quick call on the Sunday evening or something could ensure a meet up for the last part of the trip if we are not too far apart.

Norm, you guy's should look into picking up a prepaid phone after crossing the border. I think it would possibly save a few bucks.
