Have I missed it somewhere or is there going to be a Southeast rally this year? Hopefully somewhere in Alabama or MS????

There's the Antlers rally in October, that's South Central, but fairly close to you.

Historically, regional rallies are held in the off-year of the national rally. You're more than welcome to come to Estes Park, you know.

There's no reason not to have a SE rally in the year there is a National. As long as it doesn't compete with the national.

I vote we do something over a weekend in September or October that gets us into the Fall Color. Can be anything from the Natchez Trace to anywhere along the Apalachian Mtns from North GA to SC/NC to VA.

CJ stated what is normally the case for the regional rallies. In the years of national rallies, the regions, in the past, have not held regional rallies per say. We were the host region for the last national so didn't host a formal gathering in 2011.

I was going to throw out the idea of a fall ride for our region. My thought is that we could do something in mid-October. Remember that our region is comprised of the following states:

Kentucky
Tennessee
West Virginia
Virginia
North Carolina
South Carolina
Alabama
Georgia
Florida

Natchez Trace Parkway sounds like a nice ride but to be more central to our region, N GA, NC or somewhere in that area seems to be a better fit. It is ultimately up to the members to decide.

Throw your ideas out and we'll figure out which one sticks.

If considering N GA I recommend Copperhead Lodge in Blairesville.

They have great lodging with covered bike parking, cabins with garages, full hotel rooms and a bunkhouse. Fantastic bar with live music most nights and a top notch restaurant.

It is also central to lots of good riding including the GA Gauntlet (133 miles of smiles)

I know the owners and could help make arrangements but if this is going down, we would have to act fast since that's peak season here.

Would like to take the trip down Natchez Trace and back across Mississippi Alabama Ga back to Tenn. the trip from the house would be about 1300 miles
