2012 Regional Rally

Area west of Cartersville, GA and south of Chattanooga, TN is supposed to be an interesting area to ride.

I tell you what loafer, if camping ain't your thing it just ain't! Motorcycles and camping just go together for me. You add pizza and libation, you achieve nirvana!

Stuff just happens when you camp. You go out for a great day of riding, end up in a cold thunder storm, get back to the camp site with your teeth chatering, and have warm pizza and Jack Daniels waiting for you!

How the hell could you plan something like that ??? !!!!!!!

You godda do that one day with us! Before you get to old!

You left out campfires when it's not raining and black flies and/or mosquitoes.

We have been camping for many years. ;)

One of these days, I'm going to bring my life long pyromaniac friend camping to show y'all what a fire is. He was the one who invented the "set the leaf pile on fire" and "hey y'all watch this"!!!

That photo looks grainy to you, because of the stuff you put in your licker.

We are always gonna have a fire as long as it ain't too wet. If it's wet, we go to the laudramat to have our S'Mores over the dryer vent.

I was just thinking (yes I know I shouldn't do that but I can't help myself) about what we have to offer. Something that might attract members of our region and perhaps provide something for the folks from other parts of the country to do when riding was difficult for them due to weather.
What if instead of the summer standard (but great fun) thing of going to mountains (Blue Ridge, Smokies, Cumberland ect...) we do something in the fall along the FL panhandle? There is some good riding and many great views along the FL panhandle coast. Someplace like Panama City offers tons of choices for food, beverages, entertainment, camping and lodging. By October riding is spotty in much of the country while it's just getting good in that area.
I know time off is a issue during school for you Ron and for a lot of parents so I am just thinking out loud. But thought I would present what had been bouncing around in my head.

I think the main thing is to have ONE MAIN time and place for everyone to try to shoot for. RTE's and get togethers are no big deal for various times of the year and locations. This opens things up for many different schedules and provides opportunities for some that may not be able to make the main date.

We have had fall color rides, Jan 1 rides, etc over the years. The Margarittaville Ride is an un-official ride sponsored by some of our members. The more small get togethers the better we get to know each other.

There are some places around there that we could visit: Little White House, Andersonville National Historic Site is about 70 miles south east.
