The 1700's do get better with age. Less clunky shifting and better fuel mileage.

lol

i have had two 1600's and now a 1700.the 1700's are by far a better bike in most areas.it
makes me chuckle a bit when i hear so many saying how much roomier there 1600 is but
most of them had to add handle bar risers in order to reach the grips.

I had a 1600 Nomad and now have a Voyager. When I first got the Voyager it felt like I was riding on the gas tank, way too far forward. That feeling disappeared after a while. There is less room between the rider and passenger on the Voyager.

learned today the ex-wife's financial shenanigans are still haunting me. Could not get a good rate. unless I get a loan against my savings this isn't happening. Oh well - good thing the '02 is still in great shape!

Bought it... Own it... in the garage.... Woo Hoo...
Unfortunately the 80 mile ride home was a bitch without handlebar risers and backrest I was used to. So NOW I need advice on what to do there. Remember - I just blew my wad on the bike so I don't have 150 bucks to spend for risers or 300 or 400 for a backrest. So point me in the direction of some nice deals.
