Lightning to bluetooth adapter?

I have a 2012 Vaquero that has a ipod lightning male cord/plug in the left compartment on the faring. I am looking for an adapter or something to play music from my phone through the speakers. My phone doesn't have a headphone jack on it, so it'll have to be Bluetooth.
The ipod cord is the newer style I believe, not the big one from the OG ipods.

So I took out the compartment and found whoever had the bike last plugged in a 30pin to lightning adapter. Anyone know of a decent 30pin to bluetooth adapter? Would I retain the handle controls?

I purchased a Roav Transmitter from Best Buy It works great for music from my phone.

I tried plugging my GPS into the cigarette lighter and it immediately falls out going down the road.

Does the 30pin cord supply power? All bluetooth adapters I find need power to them to operate.

I have had this in my stock cigarette lighter for over 1500 miles and never a problem. It has excellent holding power and does not creep out of the socket. I have had the same experience with a GPS socket as you have had.

I did have the stock Ipod adapter years ago and it did have the option for handlebar controls. It did have power for the Ipod when I was using that setup. I wanted Bluetooth capability to the phone for more options, Pandora, music on the phone and music on my GPS, all with Bluetooth.

Yes, it has power. There are a few bluetooth adapters that are suggested on the Voyager 1700 Facebook pages to suit the 30 pin connection - Coolstream Carpro or Duo models, and the Bovee 1000 are the best recommended.

Take the 30 pin to lightning adapter cable out. They never last long, and don't give the same functionality anyway.

Wow! Those are the most expensive bluetooth adapters I've ever seen! I'll see if the wife will let me buy one of those, or I might just get a little cheaper of one...

It depends on how long you want it to last... I guess. I tried a cheapo, not because I ever turn on the head unit in my bike (I hate music on a bike), but just because I'm a tech-head and needed to see if I could make it work... It was probably the vibration that killed it in no time flat.

Here's a picture of what I have in the compartment. When I plug my Bluetooth adapter in it gets no power. I also plugged in my old ipod which doesn't charge using the plug in the compartment. What can I do? What is that Ntouch box for?

No idea. Have you checked the fuse to the aux power outlets?
