How wide of a backrest will it fit over/around? I have an '05; which does not have a back rest as large as the one in your picture.

cruiser.....This may help you sell your bag.

Nelson-Rigg has mounting strap extenders to solve the problem of being installed on Nomad type backrests, but the extenders are only available direct, not sold through dealers. At least this is what one of the Nelson-Rigg customers service reps told me when I questioned her about same problem.
At least its worth a phone call to find out....and if it helps you sell your bag remember my commission.
