Drag / T bars on a Vaquero

I want to change the handlebars on my vaquero. I love the look of the mini apes, but I want to do something different and really make it my own. Has anyone seen this done on the vaquero? I've done measurements and might be able to pull it off with a 10" rise bar (risers and bar all one piece). Thoughts? Concerns?

Do your thing! If no one has done it yet, then you get the prize for being the first and if it is what you want, there is no reason to need someone else to tell you what you should and shouldn't do. I like the look of drag bars, but need them to have a good curve on them so my carpel tunnel doesn't get aggravated.

Take a lot of measurements. My concern is turning clearance. Give it a shot!

Got the new bars in today. 10" rise black drag bars. These things may actually fit! That whole work thing is in the way or they'd be on tonight. I have tomorrow night and Saturday to try and work it out. I'm starting a trip on Sunday so I hope it all goes semi-smoothly. I'll post pics after the install.

Well... Epic fail. I did the ASSuME thing and assumed that they handlebar mounts were at 3.5". Not so much. Why does kawasaki have to be so damn different?! I guess I'll look into straight risers and a bar separate.
