baffle removal

:) have an 01 with 76k miles. after reading several post and getting good advice, I bought the necessary metal cutting oil and hole saw, borrowed a slide hammer, got out my air tools, found some vice grips and pliers, took aspirin and got after the job of removing the baffles. I was expecting the baffles to be stuck tighter then if they were welded in place. After about 1-2 minutes of drilling with my Sears 19.2 v drill (used plenty of oil), I cut through the pipe reached in and pulled out the baffle. Same procedure for both sides. Love the sound. Thanks to all for your expertise

I have a 01 Nomad with 19,000 miles and took the plunge Saturday morning and drilled out my baffles. Piece of cake and sounds great, been riding all weekend. For anyone thinking of doing the baffleectomy do it !

BD, your buddy Nico didn't buy you a bunch of beers at the rally ???
I sent him a $50 bill and told him to make sure you drank on me.
