Checking in from Tulsa area

new to VBA, trying to learn the format of this forum.

Wife bought me the very first Vaquero to hit Tulsa for my birthday present in 2011, it was still in the crate when she signed the loan. After seeing initial pics from the dealer's show in fall of 2010, I knew Kawasaki had finally built the bagger I had always wanted. After telling her I would probably buy one in late spring, she decided I didn't need to wait that long and surprised me 2 weeks before my birthday in February. The Vaq will be getting some bling in the next year, along with some functional improvements gearing up for a run to Beartooth and Glacier in 2018.

Still have a 2000 V-Max which was my sole ride for 11 years, cruiser, sport-tourer, dragbike....etc..... It has served well, but needs a little freshening up in the engine bay after 100,000 miles.

My original foray into Vulcans was a '96 1500 C with the spokers and t-bar and the awesome purplish-black micah paint. 5 trips end over end in a ditch along the Pig Trail ended that 3 year party.
