I think a set of lowers off of a 1500 ClassicFI will work on the drifter. And congrats on gettting a very nice bike!

Hey Dave,
I do have lowers on my Drifter. I think that they make a big difference on the amount of buffeting experienced. I got mine from Scootworks and the part # is MEM 9891 for the brackets and part # MEP5811 for the black lower plastic. I would recommend against the black plastic, if ordering again I would get the clear. I am planning on making my own out of tinted plastic soon. Contact Scootworks to confirm the part #'s I listed. The lower hardware is kind of spendy but is a nice design and quite good quality. They are actually a Memphis Shades product, so maybe contacting them directly would be the way to go. I hope that you enjoy your Drifter as much as I do mine. :)

BNG--- Nice Drifter, the color is great. Just wondering what happens when you park the Drifter next to the Nomad? I hope they don't have offsprings, or maybe that would be a good thing If you feel like a good road trip you are always welcome to visit Columbus, IN
The side shifter is a cool item but I am sure it is something you have to get used to doing. Lots of manual dexterity involved.
I am sure you will be gald when BNG I is back on the road.

Congrats on the new bike. My uncle had one and I loved to take out for a spin. They are a nice bike!

Badger- I've got the tail lights laying on the table next to my chair. But my Nomad is still in the shop. It will be getting new bags, and I am going to drill holes in them for the lights. Been meaning to ask you what kind of rubber gasket material did you use?

Thank you all for all the nice words about the Drifter.

Wow, Mike!! I haven't seen nor heard from you for a long time, although I don't always check in as much as I should. In any case, glad to see that you are alive and kickin'.

Do you want to help plan the next NCR Regional rally for next year? We are thinking of a ride down the Mississippi for a day, then turn around and go on the other side. Let me know that you think.
