"Who's RIDIN"

Got in a great ride yesterday.

It was 36 when I left but got up to a bright 57 with blue skies and wall to wall Sunshine. After 4 straight days of rain and cool temps it sure was nice to get out in the sun. I got in 158 mi. and ate some fine Vittles! Today promises even wormer temps, so I'll try for another "Run in the Sun" I'm going to enjoy this week as I know there's not much time left before we shift back to EST and the dreary day's of white!

There are some Bennies to Retirement! ::) ::)

Yes i guess there are I rode in to work today, but its not the same as a 158 mile ride with fine vittles at the end. I'm only 48 but willing to retire and ride all day, but I don't think the pay check would be big enough.

"Who's RIDIN"

Last week was probably my last ride of the season, we went on a 200 mile trip to pick up a new clutch for my Argo. It was cool but warmed up into a beautiful day. Im still riding the bike every day I can to work but its not the same knowing where I end up.

Cindy and I are still ridin' when she has the time. She works and I am RETIRED. Hey, somebody has to make the money.
We went 180 miles yesterday. Had a meal at the halfway point. It was 50 degrees or so but it sure beat sitting home.
We don't usually put the bikes up till mid November.

"Who's RIDIN"

Got in another great ride yesterday!

Myself and a neighbor did a foliage ride through Burks, Schuylkill and Lebanon counties about 223 mi. the weather was beautiful 60's the whole afternoon and the foliage although not in full color was bright enough to still take your breath away in the Mountains. ;) Pennsylvania is so beautiful in the fall it makes you want to just go into the woods and roll around in the leaves. I almost hit a Turkey coming around a sharp turn descending a narrow Mtn. road. There were about 6 of them in the road and they all ran except one he decided to fly and just barely cleared my windshield. ::) My buddy almost fell over laughing at the incident. Well I got the break in done, so fluid change today then cut the grass so I'm ready for a Big Breakfast Sunday at the Moose.

that too

On a sad note, Bob Penn had a massive heartattack this morning. I had lunch with him in Edison NJ the other day on my way home from work and caught him in the area cleaning his now deceased mom's house out. He looked fine then but has been battling high blood pressure most of this year. I think he gave up on the test, doctors, and pills and now his heart gave up on him. He was able to call for help. They put in 2 stents and a balloon and is recovering in ICU in Scranton Hospital. He should be home Sunday or Monday.
