V&H baffles

CME,

As you know from another thread, I removed the baffles from my Vance & Hines baggers. I plan on cutting the baffles in half and putting them back in because it is way too loud. The packing is shot so I will have to replace it. What type of fiberglass is safe to use for this?

This is a real question stud muffin.

It's too loud with them out.... so cutting them in half and putting them back it I thought it would be half of too loud?? lol

Go to stealer and get the Dirt bike wrap - it's about $8.00 and lasts quite good. I used FMC stuff.

from what I see, the packing is a renewable resource which can be obtained from a number of sources for a minimal amount of quid and if you complete your transaction of said packing online you won't have to move away from your computer or your rum for that matter which could also translate into a much more pleasurable shopping experience to say the least if not less

I also agree that your train of thought on cutting the baffles in half is a capital suggestion and should be pursued post haste. It's been accomplished by others with satisfactory results and I'll be following this thread with great enthusiasm.
