Really nice bike, Kane "Insane" Friesen had it with up in Maggie Valley and it was certainly impressive.

Looks pretty cool to me but I don't think I would take it on any long trips.

I absolutely hate the front tire and wheel.
The back rest looks pretty stupid.
The guy standing there doesn't know how to wear a hat.

The Vaquero was designed to broaden Kawasaki's target demographics for cruisers, and hopefully it does. Not every feature is what I would do to mine, but that's what makes customizing bikes so fun. Just like any other art, everyone has their own inspiration and perspective. The trick is to be open and appreciate the work someone has invested to make that bike their own.
On that note: I like it

That guy has done some pretty long trips on it, but remember, he's a stunt rider, and is probably used to being beat up a bit . . . ;)

I saw it at Maggie Valley as well, If I remember correctly the first time I saw it, it was parked out side a restaurant we came out of. I appreciate it for the custom work that went into it, but It is not my style either.

There is an article in Accelerate where he road the bike cross country. Before the trip he admitted that he had never spent more than 30 minutes on a bike prior to this.

And he's about 24 years old or so. That makes a huge difference at the end of the day.
