Anyone near Elgin Illinois?

I'm looking at purchasing a motorcycle luggage bag in Elgin Illinois, but the seller doesn't want to ship it. He is only excepting local pick-up. I'm hoping to be able to find someone in the area who would be willing to pick up the bag and ship it for me. I, of corse, would be willing to pay for the shipping charges.

I live about an 1 1/2 hours from Elgin... and don't know when the next time I'll be heading that direction. I don't head that direction much during the week, and the next three weekends are shot for me to pick it up -- otherwise I might be able to help out.

I haven't checked; but I thought there was a guy on here from Huntley, IL, which isn't too far from Elgin (certainly a lot closer than me); and I thought there was another guy from Elgin on here -- although I have not looked at the member lists to confirm that.

If this isn't a big hurry, we might be able to help out.

What kind of bag is it; and who is the dealer? I may be able to find someone that has dealt with the dealer and could vouch for you to ship it. Give me some more info if you would.

It's not from a dealer, it's from a private seller. It's just an Iron Rider luggage set that he is selling for about $100 less than I can find anywhere else. It is the particular luggage set that I have been looking for, but haven't been able to find for much under $200.

I've tried to convince the seller to ship it and even offered to pay a bit more for it plus the shipping cost prior to him sending it, but he doesn't want to ship it.

That's too bad he won't ship it. Maybe he was burned before or isn't "used-to" shipping to strangers (there are plenty that aren't willing to do that).

As Ray said, he isn't too far from there. I don't know how much of a hassle it would be for him to get it.

For me, it would be a month or so before I'll be near that area. If he still has it and you still want it then... I'll send a PM to see if you got it or not.

Be sure to let us know if you got it so we can take it off the "to-do" list!! ;)

The seller said "I'd be happy to deliver or meet halfway also if it's a reasonable distance, please contact me to make sure."

So if anyones in the area he'd probably be willing to come to you.

hey jared i work in chicago union station find out if he comes by here or let me know when he can meet im off sundays and mondays so it wont be a problem to meet him and pick up these bags or check out what chainsaw has
